An Update

The Friends of the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit named Alexander D. Leventhal as president of the organization.

“The Mounted Unit is incredibly important to our Parks security,” stated Alexander D. Leventhal, managing partner of Faros Properties. “It is my hope that through the Friends we can find a permanent means to support their work and expand their presence in Boston,” added Leventhal.”

Under Leventhal’s leadership, The Friends of the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit will continue to raise funds so The Mounted Unit can patrol all nine parks in the Emerald Necklace. Funding supports various costs of running the Mounted Unit such as veterinarian and farrier care for the Equine members, stable needs, and transportation such as horse trailers. The Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit has grown into a highly recognized and respected agency in the city of Boston. The Mounted Unit provides visitors and residents alike: public safety, and quality equestrian and educational programs. With new leadership, the board looks to make impressive strides to expand its audience. One of Leventhal’s goals is to bring awareness to the Mounted Unit through attracting a new generation of city leaders and supporters.
